My experience with the Phantom GX was a very pleasant one! I have been a very big fan of the Phantom line from Nike in previous years, but not so much as of late..until I tried these! I found the Phantom GX to be extremely comfortable on foot and I loved the way they quickly molded to the shape of my feet. The collar on the boot provides for a very comfortable fit, which ultimately made the boot feel like a sock! The fit is rather tight on foot, which made for a vey close feet-to-ball experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. And with the addition of the new Gripknit material, it made the ball stick closely to my feet while I was dribbling, controlling and, overall, playing in the boots. I found the soleplate to be very flexible, which I thought suited this model quite well. Although I usually prefer my soleplates to be stiffer so that they provide a good springback effect, I found that in the GX, I enjoyed the more flexible soleplate as it made it easy to twist and turn, and especially on the ball this is a highlight that gets the best out of the boot. Other highlights such as the Ghostlacing-system and the water repellent upper, was also elements that worked very well on the GX. The overall impressions I had after playing in the GX, is that this is a boot where good fit and impressive tech features meets each other and makes for a sensation that is unlike anything else at the moment. Phantom is back everybody!
